The installation consist of a video of a simulation of a scene from the film 'Vertigo'
from Alfred Hitchcock and the set built to record it in.
In the recreated film scene the artist replaces the female protagonist.
The parts she ‘stars’ in are spliced together with parts of the original film
and so she is transferred into and superimposed upon the movie.
The original‘s background has been broken down into elements
that have then been recreated for the set.
This set is exhibited alongside the resulting scene.
The sound is the one from the original film.

Die Installation besteht aus einem Video einer simulierten Szene aus dem Film ’ Vertigo’ von Alfred Hitchcock und dem dafür nachgebauten Set. In der nachgeahmten Szene wird die Protagonistin durch die Künstlerin ersetzt.
Die Aufnahmen worin sie spielt, sind zusammen gefügt mit Teilen des Original Films,
wodurch die Künstlerin in den Film transferiert und hineingesetzt wird.
Das nachgebaute Set wird zusammen mit dem entstandenen Film gezeigt.
Die Audiospur stammt aus dem Originalfilm.
